River Level Update

May 5, 2017 at 8:48 a.m.

The Missouri River is projected to crest today at 36.0 feet, this is the lowest level of Major Flood Stage. Our crews have been on site for the last several days and are monitoring conditions.

River Level Update

December 30, 2015 at 11:32 a.m.

The Missouri river is expected to crest on 12/30 at approximately 35.2 feet, this is several feet below the 1993 flood levels. The District is monitoring the river levels.

Record Rainfall in St. Louis Area

December 28, 2015 at 10:24 a.m.

We have received record rainfall in the St. Louis area. Riverport Levee District has people on site monitoring the pump house and interior drainage. We are currently running the pumps at capacity. We have some puddling and minor flooding in low lying parking lots.  The Missouri is predicted to crest at 33.8 feet, which is below our alert level for a major flood event.

River Level Update

June 18, 2015 at 9:47 a.m.

The Missouri River, based upon current rainfall, is projected to crest on June 20th at approximately 31 ft. which is slightly above moderate flood stage, but well below a level that is cause for concern. Staff will continue to monitor water levels both within the district and on the Missouri River. If we experience heavy rainfall, there may be some interior ponding on parking lots and roadways.

Missouri River Update

June 15, 2015 at 3:19 p.m.

The Missouri River is expected to crest at approximately 28 feet on June 16th, based upon current rainfall predictions. The Riverport Levee District is monitoring river conditions, but based upon the current predition, does not expect any flooding issues for the Riverport District.

Missouri River Crest

June 4, 2013 at 1:25 p.m.

The Missouri River Crested yesterday at 33.81 feet per the St. Charles Gauge. This crest did not affect the levee and we did not experience any difficulties.

Missouri River Predicted Crest

May 31, 2013 at 9:40 a.m.

The Missouri is predicted to crest at just slightly under 30 ft. at the St. Charles Gauge. The crest is considered moderate flood stage, but is not at a level of impact for the Riverport Levee.

Missouri River Level Update

April 23, 2013 at 10:49 a.m.

The Missouri River crested on 4/20/13 at slightly over 27 ft, as measured at the St. Charles gauge. Minor flood stage at St. Charles is 25 ft. This is minor flooding and does not impact the Riverport Levee.

Missouri River Leve Update

July 11, 2011 at 8:49 a.m.

The Missouri River Level per the St. Charles gauge is 27.3 feet and project to remain fairly steady throughout the week. The projection is based upon not receiving any substantial rainfall. The 27.3 level is 2.3 feet over minor flood stage and is not causing any concerns in Riverport.

Missouri River Level Update

June 28, 2011 at 10:16 a.m.

The current prediction is that the Missouri River will crest at 29.3 feet on July 2, 2011, this is based upon the current conditions.  This crest is slightly below the moderate flood stage of 30.00 feet per the St. Charles Guage. The Riverport Levee District will continue to monitor the River Levels daily.

Missouri River Level

June 13, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.

The Missouri River has fallen slightly below minimum flood stage per the St. Charles Gauge. Please refer to the St. Charles Gauge link, under the Link Tab, for up to date Missouri River Information.

Missouri River Levels

June 8, 2011 at 10:38 a.m.

The Missouri River Level is currently 26 feet in St. Charles. This is slightly over the minimum flood stage and currently dropping. At this time there is no impact on the Riverport Levee system.The Riverport Levee District will continue to monitor the levels daily and post updates. Missouri River Crest

September 4, 2008 at 3:44 p.m.

The Missouri River is beginning to rise due to the recent rainfall and will continue to do so over the next couple of days. The current forecast is that the river will crest on September 7th, 2008 at 19.8 ft. At this time, there is no threat of reaching the 25 ft. flood stage.
